Job Description
Our firm has been retained by our Client to find experienced District Managers to build bench strength for their stores in various markets across the nation.

Locations will be from Washington D.C. to Boston, MA.

Some responsibilities are as follows:

• Supervise 15 plus store district. Candidate will be responsible for sales, profit, personnel, as well as assist with marketing and customer service initiatives.

• Candidate must have proven track record of accomplishment with ability to drive sales, develop people and implement customer service programs.

• Must have a minimum of three years experience in multi-store supervision.

• Ideal candidate should have exposure/experience in one or more of the following areas: category management, marketing or human resources.

• Overall management responsibility for operation of District retail store, including store performance, control of cash, inventory. and security, customer service and management of staff.

• Track, analyze, and take action to improve store performance by forecasting of weekly/daily sales goals and meeting or exceeding established goals.

• Communicate sales goals, department performance, and sales opportunities with staff to ensure positive results.

•Forecast, schedule, and monitor labor to be consistent with District sales and productivity guidelines and wage budgets; create action plans to address cost control issues.

• Develop and direct execution of strategies to improve product placement and appearance.

•Monitor display accuracy and appearance to implement promotions; ensure that products are properly displayed and ordered in a manner to maintain in-stock conditions.

5 years multi store management experience in the retail “supermarket, drug, big box” or “category killer” space.

• Experience managing a team within a multi- department operation.

• Outstanding customer service and supervisory skills.

• Strong understanding of overall store operations.

• Strong leadership and staff development skills.

• College degree preferred.
