Job Description
Position Description:

The Corporate Industrial Engineering Department, located in Pleasanton, California has an opening for a Director, Industrial Engineering. The successful candidate will help manage retail labor from a corporate perspective. The position reports to the Vice President, Labor Analysis and Productivity Strategies.

Qualifications:
4 year college degree in IE, Operations Management, Finance, Economics or other applicable discipline.
Minimum 5 years experience in Industrial Engineering.
Experience as division IE Director a strong plus.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to think strategically, formulate action plans and see them through.
Strong leadership skills. Ability to work with Division IE Directors, Division CFO's and Division Presidents to ensure labor management tools are applied in a consistent way.
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and work efforts simultaneously. The successful candidate will be flexible, responsive to changing priorities, and a natural multi-tasker.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Computer modeling skills.
Experience in store operations a plus.
Advanced PC skills in MS Office, programming languages, familiarity with Data Sources such as Teradata and Business Tracker.
MBA or similar graduate degree a plus.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain accurate labor standards. Look for opportunities to reduce labor costs without impacting the level of service stores are able to offer our customers.
Work with Division IE Directors to support consistency in labor targeting.
Act as business sponsor on various strategic projects which impact labor.
Identify and implement initiatives which improve utilization of retail workforce.
Report key productivity indicators.
Assist in conducting training and support for corporate time studies.
Ensure new time values are accurately and swiftly implemented.
Assist corporate marketing team with implementation and on-going management of several miscellaneous income programs.
Work with other departments to improve quality of data being used to forecast and schedule labor.
Assist in support of WFM scheduling and related programs.
Travel required: 10%
