We are looking for a Manager of Marketing and Merchandising who can lead the development of marketing programs and services for Nash Finch Company Corporate Retail stores, NFC alternate retail formats and various Independent store customers.
Duties: (not inclusive)
•Develops marketing programs for Corporate Retail Stores, including: consumer promotions, electronic marketing programs, Grand Opening activities and store-specific marketing programs to drive sales and profits.
•Identifies sales opportunities for new merchandising initiatives for Corporate Retail stores, initiates plans for these programs and oversees the implementation of these plans. Programs include Center store price Campaign programs/shelf sign programs, perishable department initiatives (Signature programs), store services initiatives, etc.
•Participates in Advertising and Promotional Planning for Corporate Retail stores Weekly Ad Meetings, Quarterly and Bi-Annual planning.
•Leads weekly Corporate Retail Ad Marketing Meeting and coordinated activities for Corporate Retail from the Advertising Image Center (excluding weekly ad circular)
•Develops and maintains Corporate Retail Stores marketing calendars, ultimately leading program implementation and merchandising execution of the activities reflected on the marketing calendar.
•Creates neighborhood consumer marketing programs to address local community needs and work with store staff and other 3rd parties to execute.
•Oversees execution of major marketing events for Independent retailers, including consumer promotions and various sales events. Activities to include but not limited to NFC Power Events, Holiday Showcase, Coupon Programs, Mailers, and more.
•In partnership with Corporate Retail merchandising, tracks and evaluates the results of marketing programs for continuous improvement and future planning.
•Oversees marketing execution for marketing programs for Alternate Formats, including Grand Openings and ongoing promotional activities
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
•8+ years Marketing, Merchandising and/or Advertising experience with at least 2+ years in a managerial role. Experience in Supermarket Retail Advertising Promotion or Marketing preferred. Skills required include advertising and promotion program planning, marketing plan development and execution. Previous management level experience preferred.
•Excellent leadership, oral and written communication, detail oriented, presentation, critical analysis, and multitasking skills. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint). Ability to travel up to 20%.
