Sr. Account Manager, Nutritional Product Scoring
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the collection and distribution of item level product information from each customer, ensuring execution of the tag-scoring program. GENERAL •Develop and coordinate efforts for Center Store, Perishable and Produce scoring for national, regional, and store brand products. •Coordinate item lists from members to understand workload and center store scoring needs. •Develop expertise in acquiring and understanding the various data sources that exist for nutrient profiles of center store items. •Develop an understanding of the FDA rules for Center Store, Perishable and Produce store labeling and their effect on the scoring efforts. Determine implications and create appropriate plans to manage impacts on the scoring system. •Develop and maintain all scoring databases as populated during scoring activities. •Represent the scoring methodologies and activities for all levels with the customer seeking information about the process. •Interface with other scoring teams to develop and establish a set of best business practices. •Develop processes for the managing of store tag reformat processes. Ensure that appropriate vendors are contacted and tag designs are completed in accordance with formatting rules. •Review shelf tag rollout procedures to ensure shelf tags will appear in appropriate timeframe for newly rolled out categories.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITY •Operate within given budgets provided for travel and meal expense. •Review procedures on a regular basis to determine lower cost process alternatives thereby reducing budget levels.
TRADE RELATIONSHIPS •Help identify opportunities for joint ventures, affiliations, and partnership arrangements.
COMMUNICATIONS •Create tracking reports to highlight project issues as they pertain to critical situations which will prevent meeting established goals. •Provide regular project status feedback outlining for customers and internally, project tasks and remaining work associated with each rollout plan.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP •Create and maintain working relationships with customer counter parts as needed to execute scoring goals. •Provide regular status and feedback to customers regarding project progress. Manage any difficult issues by reaching compromises with customers as needed. •At all times, provide a respectful persona to the customer with a mantra of mutual respect.
SKILLS
•Have the ability to track and plan 8 or more Customer rollout plans that could extend over a 6 to 12 month timeframe. •Have strong program management and task defining skills. •Have keen business acumen, and the ability to function as a key member of the scoring team. •Have a strong execution focus and enjoy working in a hard-charging results-oriented environment. •Be an enthusiastic, aggressive, and disciplined team player that will work to achieve the goals of the firm via team orientation and through personal contribution. •Have strong interpersonal skills especially with large customer interaction •Have strong skills in basic office software such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word •Have a bachelor degree, but an MBA is preferred.
