Regional Sales Manager, Mid-West CONFIDENTIAL
This Privately held consumable packaged Goods Company competes in one of the highest profile consumable categories in the Food industry. They sell a large portfolio of consumable category leading private label and branded products.
Position Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing a team of Key Account Managers that call on the food, drug, mass, hospitality and military channels.
The position is responsible for leading the team to achievement of profit, volume, share, and new distribution goals.
Assess market and establish with management and territory staff sales strategy goals and tactics.
Prioritize accounts to comply with corporate sales plan and makes contact with appropriate management levels within client organizations.
Work with Sales teams to develop and execute area specific annual strategic plan/budget and prepares quarterly sales updates to ensure achievement of established sales goals and compliance with established budgetary constraints.
Ability to sell concepts and ideas to customers, management, peers, and employees.
Coach employees how to resolve and de-escalate conflicts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent
A minimum of three to five years’ industry and staff development experience
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, communication skills and computer literacy
Ability to travel within assigned territory and attend sales meetings as required.
