Job Description
The Catering Manager will be responsible for the total operations of the catering department and it's financial results. This position reports to the Food Service Director.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for selling catering products for special events throughout the store and community
- Effectively promote catering services/products provided by Central Market to maximize sales
- Ensures that all company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met
- Works to achieve set department budget that contributes to the stores long range goals
- Works with sales personnel to generate new business and maintain current client relations
- Ensure highest level of quality and presentation in products and services
- Works with Chef to plan menus
- Responsible for employment interviews, performance appraisals and partner feedback.
- Trains and develops partners
- Responsible for writing departmental schedules
- Provide superlative customer service
Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in a Catering environment
- Ability to develop and deliver sound recommendations
- Detail oriented
- Proficiency on HEB systems (XPTR, IMS, CICS2)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
