Job Description
As the Produce Team Receiver you will be responsible for all functions and paperwork relating to receiving produce team items and any necessary hand pricing. You will operate machinery including baler, compactor, and pallet lifter. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members. This is a physically demanding role as you will be working with many pallets of products stacked high with fifty to eighty pound boxes of fruits, vegetables, etc., and you will be putting those products away daily and rotating that stock. You will also be checking delivery invoices for accuracy.

Duties:
Make sure the customers are being taken care of and the store looks great at all times. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service.
Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for receiving all product entering the location including: verifying actual product against packing slips, confirming product integrity, and checking product temperatures as needed.
Stamp, initial and code invoices; log invoices in receiving journal; distribute to appropriate teams.
Where Rapid Receiving is in place: log invoices into the computer receiving log workbook; enter invoice data into the AP System, run a query of that activity to attach to invoices and distribute to appropriate teams.
Maintain clean and sanitary operating environment; responsible for maintaining cleanliness of receiving area including loading dock and trash areas.
Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
Operates all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Leader (Department Manager), Associate Team Leader (Assistant Department Manager), or Supervisor.

Ability to work independently yet have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members and Store Leadership
Knowledgeably communicate with service vendors.
Ability to understand proper retail receiving organization
Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted and able to push and pull carts with product weighing up to 100 pounds.
Use of box cutters.
