Job Description
As a member of our Meat team, your role will include setting and maintaining attractive Meat displays and supporting the regional Meat vision. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.

1. Prepares and packages meat department products for retail sale
2. Price and label accurately
3. Sell meat department products
4. Ensures the dissemination & adherence to all company policies
5. Maintains adherence to all security & safety policies
6. Adheres to proper waste management and recycling procedures
7. Keeps up on industry trends/standards/changes
8. Maintains department cleanliness
9. Provides excellent customer service
10. Prepares department product for sale
11. Answers department telephone calls and pages quickly and with excellent phone etiquette.
12. Performs other duties as assigned by the Meat Team Leader (Department Manager), Associate Team Leader (Assistant Department Manager), or Supervisor.

· Knowledge of basic Meat cooking procedures
· Willingness to taste and evaluate all products offered in department.
· Proper handling of knives and other cutting equipment.
· Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
· A desire to learn about natural and organic foods and products.
· Effective time management skills.
· Strong work ethic and integrity.
· Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
· Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
· Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted and able to push and pull carts with product weighing up to 100 pounds.
· Use of box cutters.
· Use of electric pallet jacks or other heavy machinery.
· Able to answer customer questions in a clear and service-oriented manner.
