Job Description
As a Specialty Team Member you will perform all duties related to Specialty department, including counter service, back stock, sanitation, and stocking of products. Maintains a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service.


Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide excellent customer service, as outlined in the SW Excel manual.
2. Prepare food items: cut, wrap, and price cheese.
3. Organize, stock, and rotate, while continuously checking and insuring freshness and quality of products.
4. Prepare and maintain active and passive demos.
5. Maintain back stock in good order.
6. Keep department continually clean, well maintained, and organized.
7. Comply with all applicable health and safety codes.
8. Follow established Weights and Measures procedures.
9. Respond to all Specialty pages quickly and efficiently.
10. Build displays and request appropriate signage.
11. Attend all team and store meetings.
12. Perform other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
1. Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department (some Specialty experience preferred).
2. Willingness to taste and evaluate all products offered in department.
3. Understand and able to effectively communicate Quality Goals to customers.
4. Ability to perform physical requirements of position (see below).
5. Ability to learn proper use of heat wrap, knives, and all other equipment used during food preparation and clean up.
6. Ability to learn proper use of baler (must be 18 years of age or older).
7. Ability to work well with others.
8. Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights and weekends as required.

Working conditions:
1. Standing and walking for extended periods of time, up to 8-10 hours.
2. Bending, stooping, climbing.
3. Mental and physical dexterity.
4. Unassisted heavy lifting.
5. Work in varying temperatures (coolers).
6. Use of box cutters.
7. Use of electric pallet jacks or other heavy machinery.
8. Mandatory use of required personal protective equipment.
9. Use of ladders.
10. Iteration of duties.
