Job Description
Reports to Meat Team Leader/Associate Meat Team Leader. Performs functions related to the display and selling of product. Provides efficient and excellent customer service and answer customer's questions regarding preparation and storage of product. Has overall knowledge of all products.


Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Will Do:
1. Provide excellent customer service
2. Maintain high customer service while serving customers
3. Learn preparation of specialty merchandise e.g., sausage, ready to cook products, and cured meats
4. Follow established Weights and Measures procedures (TARES)
5. Maintain overall appearance of and replenish ice in display case
6. Utilize proper rotation in case
7. Set and maintain poultry case and display
8. Package, weigh and price merchandise
9. Able to explain to customer WFM's products are different from conventional
10. Comply with all applicable State of California Health and Safety Codes
11. Perform other duties, as assigned
12. Uphold standard of cleanliness
13. Capable of explaining various cooking techniques
14. Learn to cut sub primal meat cuts
15. Other duties as assigned

Must Have/Be:
1. Basic knowledge of meat cuts and cooking techniques.
2. Demonstrated ability in knife handling, other cutting equipment and safety procedures. Skilled in cutting whole chicken into standard parts; and simple cuts for other meats.
3. Ability to work well with others.
4. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
5. Minimum of 6 months experience before learning advanced cutting
6. Desire to learn to cut meat into sub primals.
7. Ability to operate bailer (must be 18 years old).
8. Has knowledge of living conditions of animals and has the ability to educate the public on these issues.
9. Ability to merchandise and display products.
