The Deli or Bakery Clerk prepares, stocks, serves, and merchandises bakery, deli food products to our customers and maintains our high standards of safety and sanitation

This position may be posted on a continual basis, but hiring is done as needed at this store and neighboring locations.

Examples of duties include but are not limited to:

Observe and support all store rules and company policies.
Correctly operates a cash register
Receives and stores food products to maintain freshness
Prepares bakery, deli and items according to Bashas’ Family of Stores recipes
Packs, labels and merchandises bakery and deli items according to Bashas’ Family of Stores’ policy
Maintains cheerful, friendly attitude toward customers
Keeps familiar with company policies and procedures
Maintains the entire work area in a clean and sanitary condition and follows all safety procedures
Answers phones and takes orders for special request items.

Requirements All candidates must have excellent customer service skills, reliable transportation, and must pass a drug and/or background screen.
Must be 18 years old to apply.
Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to various work environments that includes temperature changes
Work includes: walking, standing for long periods, repetitive hand and arm movements, frequent heavy lifting, bending, and stretching along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast paced environment.
