Job Description
The Baker produces all bakery goods and other related products in an efficient manner within company policy; to endues that the shift contributes to the financial best interests of the store.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Observe and support all store rules and company policies. Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise; check and verify all items received to ensure that items listed on vendor invoices are all delivered; check products for quality, count, and condition. Keep all bakery ingredients or merchandise rotated in accordance with store policy and product code dates. Prepare all dough and scratch baking mixtures in accordance with established company or department procedures and recipes. Responsible for all aspects of baking: mix and cut donuts, fry, glaze and fill donuts, load and unload the oven, know the proper temperatures and duration to bake all varieties of products, operate mixer, run sheeter, scale cakes and cupcakes, ice sweet rolls, breads and cookies, etc. Assist with production, ordering, merchandising, achieving goals on sales and profits, controlling inventory and out of stocks, shrink, sanitation, supplies, equipment, safety, supervision, scheduling, and training within the Bakery Department. Perform other duties as assigned or directed. Ensure compliance with heath department and weights and measures requirements.
Requirements All candidates must have excellent customer service skills, reliable transportation, and must pass a drug and/or background screen. Must be 18 years old to apply.
Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated: Previous baking and/or grocery retail experience. Knowledge of bakery operation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
