Job Description
Performs all duties related to dishwashing: unloading kitchen deliveries and cleaning all of the dishes, utensils, pots and pans. Other areas of responsibility may be prep work and maintaining food quality and sanitation in kitchen. Maintains a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient. Gives full support to Chef and Team Leader.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Will Do:
1. Wash and sanitize all dishes, small wares, utensils and containers.
2. Assist with proper storage of all deliveries.
3. Rotate and organize products.
4. Perform prep work as directed.
5. Proper ongoing maintenance of equipment.
6. Maintain health department standards when cleaning and handling food.
7. Perform deep cleaning tasks on a regular basis.
8. Take out all of the garbage and recycling.
9. Sweep and wash floors as needed.
10. Perform proper and safe use of cleaning products and equipment.
11. Perform other duties, as assigned and follow through on supervisor requests in a timely manner.
Must Have/Be:
1. Entry level position.
2. Able to perform physically requirements of job.
3. Practices safe and proper knife skills.
4. Ability to perform physical requirements of position: Standing and walking up to 7-8 hours in a day; Bending, stooping, climbing not to exceed 25% of work day; ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted up to 25% of the workday; Use of box cutters, ladders, baking racks and sheet pans and other industrial baking equipment
5. Ability to read and communicate in English
6. Ability to work box bailer (must 18 years of age or older).
7. Works well with others and participates as part of a team.
