Job Description
Summary:
Performs functions related to the cutting, display and selling of product. Provides efficient and courteous customer service.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Will Do:
1. Performs all duties related to Seafood Team
2. Provide excellent customer service
3. Assist Team Leader in organizing and displaying product
4. May contribute to the training of new Seafood TM's
5. Set up all counter displays; suggest new product and display ideas
6. May perform basic cutting
7. Monitor and prevent spoilage with proper rotation for all walk-in and freezer back stock
8. May order selected products; receive incoming product
9. Open and close department as assigned
10. Follow established Weights and Measures procedures (TARES)
11. General knowledge of all aspects of department
12. Basic knowledge of and can perform ordering and receiving procedures
13. Understand PLU and price changes procedures
14. Request appropriate signage when necessary
15. Perform other duties, as assigned
Must Have/Be:
1. Entry level with more advanced functions may need 1-2 years experience
2. Basic math skills required in the understanding of profit margin, will teach
3. Knowledge of cuts and cooking techniques
4. Ability to learn skilled in cutting whole salmon, tuna, halibut, Sea bass, flat fish, Mahi Mahi and Cod, into standard/ or custom parts
5. Demonstrated decision-making and excellent interpersonal skills
6. Demonstrated ability to set seafood counter to regional standard within an acceptable time frame
7. Ability to train and work well with others
