Job Description
As a Store Demonstration Team Member, you will support the Demo Specialist in approximately 20 food demonstrations a month utilizing Whole Foods Market products. You will help to promote a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
1. Make sure the customers are being taken care of and the store looks great at all times. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service.
2. Support creative, well displayed, and attractive demos during busy times in the store, allowing customers to sample products, conveying excitement and a positive attitude toward Whole Foods Market and its products.
3. Maintain and publish demo schedule.
4. Track orders and supplies necessary to run demos successfully. Ensure the right tools are on hand.
5. Work closely with departmental specialists to assure that necessary product is available in a timely way.
6. Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
7. Communicate demo information and schedule with Team Members.
8. Keep informed about food trends and hot items and communicate necessary information to teams.
9. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
10. Support national, regional, and store programs.
11. Respond promptly to customer needs and questions and requests assistance when necessary, including answering the store phone system.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by the (Department Manager), Associate Team Leader (Assistant Department Manager), or Demo Specialist.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
2. Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
3. Knowledgeably and enthusiastically communicate the product line to the customer.
4. Should have knowledge of or ability to learn word processing, spreadsheet, and order processing software.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members, Store Leadership, and Regional Support office.
6. Willingness and ability to creatively and analytically find solutions to problems
7. Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
8. Strong organizational skills.
9. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
10. Able to prioritize efficiently.
11. Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
12. Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
13. Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted and able to push and pull carts with product weighing up to 100 pounds.
14. Use of box cutters.
Working Conditions
1. Standing or walking for up to six hours continuously.
2. Lifting and moving tables, chairs, and boxes up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
3. Pushing or pulling heavily loaded, wheeled carts unassisted.
4. Iteration of duties.
