Job Description
Your role will include assisting with scheduling, supervision of team members as well as with the day-to-day flow of the department. Additionally, you will maintain attractive Prepared Foods displays and support the regional Prepared Foods vision. You will work closely with the Prepared Foods Team Leader (Dept Manager) and Associate Team Leader(s) (Assistant Dept Manager) to ensure smooth operation of the Prepared Foods Team. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
1. Make sure the customers are being taken care of and the department looks great at all times. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service.

3. May assist with interviewing
4. Help train Team Members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover as delegated by Team Leader and Associate Team Leader
5. Establish and maintain a positive work environment that supports a high Team Member morale.
6. Communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards.
7. Supervise and delegate tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
8. Assist in training of new Team Members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials.
9. Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
10. Support national, regional, and store programs.
11. Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices.
12. Respond promptly to customer needs and questions and requests assistance when necessary, including answering the store phone system.
13. Open and close department according to established procedures.
14. Oversee team and resolve difficult customer situations.
15. Determine break schedule and insure all necessary breaks are given.
16. Communicate team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
17. Performs other duties as assigned by the Prepared Foods Team Leader (Department Manager), Associate Team Leader (Assistant Department Manager), or Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1. Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented.
2. Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods Team procedures and policies.
3. Capable of teaching others in a constructive and positive manner.
4. Minimum 1 year Prepared Foods experience or equivalent.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
6. Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
7. Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
8. Strong organizational skills; basic computer skills.
9. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
10. Able to prioritize efficiently and delegate responsibilities.
11. Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
12. Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
13. Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted and able to push and pull carts with product weighing up to 100 pounds.
14. Use of box cutters.
Working Conditions
1. Exposure to temperature variations and wet conditions.
2. May walk and work on uneven surfaces.
3. Requires reaching above and below shoulder height.
4. Some exposure to dust, gas, fumes and chemicals.
5. Repetitive use of hands with power grasping and fine manipulation.
6. May need to use a ladder or stool to reach product or supplies.
7. Exposure to continuous background and occasional loud noises.
8. Walking surfaces are sometimes slick.
9. Repetitive stretching and lifting required.
10. Items over 40 pounds require a team lift.
