DSD Receiver
As a DSD Receiver, you will be responsible for the following duties:
• Working with vendors to resolve vendor errors.
• Working with vendors to correct policy violations or excessive inventory.
• Protect the assets of Food Lion while improving sales and maximizing the company’s cash flow.
• Assist in achieving the store’s shrink budget.
• Responsible for proper and accurate DSD product receiving for the store.
• Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming product to verify information against the vendor invoice.
• Ensure the proper receiving of DSD (Direct Store Delivery) product by following the policies and procedures set forth by Food Lion.
• Maintaining policies, procedures and grocery standard practices.
• Maximize sales through excellent customer service.
• Minimize shrink through proper utilization of standard practices.
Job Requirements:
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 60 lbs. as needed.
• Read, write and perform basic math.
• Complete necessary paperwork.
• Analyze situations, identify problems, implement solutions and handle conflict.
• Communicate with vendors, associates and customers.
• Use the In-Store Computer, scan system and RF Telxon.
• Meet production standards established by Food Lion.
