Job Description
Central Market is a destination, fresh market for people who are passionate about food.
The General Manager of Central Market must be a consummate leader. Our stores employ 400+ creative, passionate Partners who possess a great deal of pride and all feel their department is the most important ingredient to the success of the store. The single biggest challenge for the General Manager is being able to reach an acceptable level of business discipline while encouraging creative risk-taking. Although there is a suggested format and layout of the stores, the General Manager and Department Managers have a great deal of autonomy in merchandising. This is where the personality and style of the store team will shine. This position will be a training position enabling Central Market to build depth in our key areas.
Position Requirements:
Minimum of 15 years experience in a leadership role in the high-end food service, specialty grocery or complex retailing environment.
Proven track record of innovation and positive people leadership.
Proven track record of achieving optimal financial results.
