All our milk comes from family farmers under contract to Alta Dena Dairy. Our farmers feed their cows a nutritious diet including wholesome alfalfa hay, which increases milk nutrition and flavor.
Our farmers do not treat their cows with rBST Recombinant Bovine Somatotropin, a genetically engineered hormone. While rBST treatment increases milk production, some consumers have raised concerns about the long-term effects of rBST on cows and humans. At Alta Dena Dairy, we believe the quality of the milk begins with the cow. By not using rBST, we protect the health of our cows, their milk and our customers.
Since your health is a major focus for us, we offer many Organic and All Natural products, in addition to our rBST-free regular products.
