Almost everyone is familiar with stainless steel. It can be found in almost every home in one form or another. It is strong, decorative and doesn't corrode like other metals. The stainless steel featured in our furniture will retain its appearance and character, under normal use, for a very long time.
The Jatoba wood we use is less well known. It is almost as long wearing as the stainless steel. Mechanically, it is very dense, incredibly strong, and will resist rot for a lifetime of use. It has been described as the "50 year wood". It is a "heavy" wood because it is so dense, but that just means it won't blow off of your deck with every thunderstorm.
We also use a more familiar wood, Teak. It is also highly resistant to rot, very strong and very low maintenance. It is for these reasons and, of course it's beauty, that it has been used in furniture for hundreds of years. Some of the teak furniture in use today has been around for an incredibly long time. It's too bad the same won't be said for most of the furniture on the market today.
Care and maintenance of our furniture is very easy. The stainless steel need only be wiped off with mild detergent and water. Both the Jatoba and the Teak may occasionally require a minimal effort to return them to their original luster. There will be no sanding, no scraping, no harsh strippers and above all, no hard labour on your deck. After all, that's not what the deck was built for. Jatoba is a beatifully and uniquely grained wood. I
