- J.B.’s founding partners, John Bogdan and Dwayne Huber, each have an extensive background in the meat industry. John started his career with Burn’s Meats Ltd. in sales, moved on to the Provisions Department, where he was in charge of costing and production and then became Branch Manager. From Burn’s, John went on to Centennial Packers and continued his experience in other aspects of the meat industry. Still eager to gain more knowledge, John went on and became Territory Manager in sales for Unipac. The opportunity to become “his own boss” was made possible by his move to Western Butcher Supply. Dwayne started working in the meat industry in 1985.Dwayne worked for Western Butcher Supply in service & sales for chain stores and independent industry. Dwayne has helped design and build abattoirs, meat processing plants and grocery stores over the past 15 years. Dwayne has also been involved in set ups for independent small processors, federal plants, Safeway, Superstore and Federated Co-op. Then, in 1995, John and Dwayne decided to start their own business knowing the importance of a strong customer focus. We supply all types of new and used meat equipment ranging from scales, meat slicers, grinders, mixer/grinders, vacuum packs, hydrolic stuffers, tumblers, saws, smokehouses, and deli-counters. As well we sell small wares such as hand crank sausage stuffers, hand grinders, knife sharpeners, grinder knives, grinder plates, various styles of boning, steak, and cimeter knive
