In 1985, leaders of key hospitality industry associations recognized the need for a more directed and professional means of instructing retailers about the state's liquor laws and promoting the responsible sale and service of alcoholic beverages to the public. Thus was formed the non-profit organization known today as the Arizona Business Council for Alcohol Education (ABC), which continues into the 21st century as one of the nation's leaders in liquor law training.
Since it was established, ABC has maintained an unblemished record for professionalism, has trained well over 200,000 servers, managers and owners across the state, and is endorsed by the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control (DLLC). With a total of 10 certified trainers statewide, ABC is the leader in Title 4 liquor law training for both in-house and open classes.
