Atkins Ranch has its own grading system to ensure consistent quality focusing on tenderness and leanness. Lambs are "Lean Grown" not "Lean Trimmed"
Atkins Ranch places a special emphasis on supplying naturally grown, lean lambs, 52 weeks of the year. This guarantees a continued and uninterrupted supply of lambs, which satisfies the demands of our customers. The story of Atkins Ranch Lamb begins in the fresh air of the green, productive, hill country pastures of New Zealand. Here lambs are raised on grass, their natural diet.
John Atkins and his family have been ranchers for more than 5 generations. On their 3000 acre property, they are dedicated to producing healthy lean lamb, which has never been on a feedlot.
(John and son, Andrew )
Along with many other fellow ranchers, who are also selectively growing lamb for the Atkins Ranch program, they decided to investigate the North America markets, and they have found a special need in North America for their ‘Healthy’, ‘Free range’, ‘ Naturally Grown’ product.
