- Bill Hainline Sr. opened the first 4B's Restaurant at 1359 West Broadway in Missoula, Montana in 1947. In tribute to his family, the name 4B's was born...Bill, his wife Buddy, son Bill Jr. and daughter Barbara...the 4B's. "Quality, Cleanliness, and Hospitality equals success." This formula has continued for over 50 years. The original building was constructed of logs and the Hainlines lived upstairs, all taking turns on the job.
